SERIES: Watercolour (4 Classes)

Watercolour Magic!

Ever wanted to try watercolour without feeling like you have to “get it right”?

This four-class series is your friendly, no-pressure introduction to the magical, slightly unpredictable world of watercolour.

We’ll cover all the fundamentals—how much water is too much water, what those brushes actually do, how pigments like to mingle (or misbehave), and how to work with the flow instead of fighting it. Each class builds on the last, gently guiding you through washes, layering, colour mixing, and simple techniques that bring your paintings to life.

Expect guided demos, playful exercises, and plenty of room to experiment, make happy accidents, and discover your own style along the way. No prior experience needed—just curiosity, a willingness to let go, and maybe a love of watching colours bloom across the page.

By the end of the series, you’ll have a solid foundation, a handful of finished pieces, and the confidence to keep exploring watercolour on your own.

Come for the basics, stay for the magic

SERIES: March 26, April 2, April 9, April 16

WORKSHOP: Collage

WORKSHOP: Collage
Curious Captions & Transfer Tales

Ever wondered what happens when words and images blur? Join us for an experimental session where we dive into the delightful, slightly magical technique of transferring text onto your collage artwork!

This is your invitation to play, to explore, and to let go of "getting it right." We'll treat found text—from old books, magazines, or print-outs—as a new material, seeing what happens when we gently coax the ink off the page and onto a new surface. It's a little bit of chemistry, a little bit of chance, and a whole lot of fun.

We’ll cover the basics you need to get started, but the real goal is to see what stories emerge when you give words a new life. Come with an open mind, a curious spirit, and leave with a finished piece that tells its own unexpected story.

No prior collage experience is needed—just a willingness to experiment!

SERIES: Write, Now!

SERIES: Write, Now!

Write, Now! is a creative writing group for people who want to write more, meet other writers, and talk about writing… while also feeling a very reasonable amount of panic about all three.

If you’ve ever thought I wish I wrote more followed immediately by yes, but not in front of people, you are exactly who this is for.

We welcome the brand-new and the slightly nervous, the long-time journal keepers, the secret poets, the lapsed novelists, and the curious wanderers who aren’t quite sure what they write yet. At Write, Now!, the goal isn’t perfection — it’s momentum, play, and permission.

Together we’ll use generative prompts, small experiments, and collaborative exercises to get words onto the page (sometimes surprisingly easily). Along the way, we’ll practice how to share writing in a way that feels safe, respectful, and actually enjoyable. There will also be space for relaxed, gently guided conversations about the writing life — blocks, habits, inspiration, doubts, and the strange mystery of why characters suddenly refuse to cooperate.

You won’t need to prepare anything. You won’t be put on the spot. You won’t be judged.

You will leave with new pages, new ideas, and probably new people you’re happy to see again — plus a growing sense that writing isn’t something you someday start.

It’s something you can do right now.

Workshop: Ikebana

Workshop: Ikebana

Please bring a round flat vessel such as a cake pan or dish.

WORKSHOP: Spring! Soil & Seeds

WORKSHOP: Spring! Soil & Seeds

Ever felt like your plants are trying to tell you something? It all starts with the soil—that mysterious, crumbly foundation where all the magic begins!

Join us for a hands-on session where we get curious about soil and discover the simple secrets to making it the coziest, most nutrient-rich home for your future plants.

Sustainability and eco-environmental mindfulness—recycling what we can, purchasing and sourcing thoughtful ingredients—are the foundation while exploring the specifics of soil and seeds.

We'll explore:

  • The Soil Story: What makes good soil good? We'll peek under the surface and learn how to create a balanced, happy habitat.

  • Prep & Play: Simple, non-intimidating ways to get your containers or garden beds ready for action.

  • The Seed Whisperer: Techniques for tucking tiny seeds into their new homes with the perfect amount of care, depth, and encouragement.

This workshop is all about sparking your inner gardener and embracing the gentle art of starting small. No green thumb required—just a willingness to get a little dirt under your fingernails and marvel at the tiny promise held within a single seed. Let's dig in and dream up some growth together!

ATELIER/WORKSHOP: Manifestez! Make Manifest

In this workshop, we’ll gently move through a simple three-part creative process designed to help you imagine — and begin shaping — the life, work, relationships, or change you want to welcome into your world.

Step one: Dream.
Through a guided visualization, you’ll let your mind wander and notice what appears — scenes, colours, symbols, memories, or even movement. There’s no right answer here, just curiosity.

Step two: Make.
Using the materials provided, you’ll collage, layer, and arrange your images into a small artwork you can take home — a visual reminder of what you’re calling in.

Step three: Make it so.
Place your finished piece somewhere you’ll see it often. Let it quietly nudge you each day toward the life you’re growing into.

This workshop is open to everyone — experienced artists, beginners, and especially those convinced they “aren’t creative.” (You are. We promise.)

You’re welcome to bring a project in progress, or simply be inspired by the wide selection of materials available at . kiosk . Studio.
